by Mary Antalan31 October 2024

The FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist has extended its relief operations to communities in Camarines Norte to assist families affected by severe tropical storm Kristine, aiming to support their ongoing recovery efforts.

According to partylist representative Brian Poe, his mother, Senator Grace Poe, reassured him of their commitment to continue aid distribution, underscoring the need to provide consistent support to affected communities as they rebuild.

The initiative follows an earlier relief operation launched by the local youth organization in Camarines Sur, which quickly mobilized after the typhoon to distribute food packs and cooked meals to residents. Brian Poe expressed his appreciation for the swift actions taken by these youth volunteers, recognizing their unique understanding of local needs and their proactive approach to addressing them.

"I am pleased with the immediate actions of our youth volunteers. They know the situation in the area better and they immediately decided to give aid after we raised funds to support the operation of the youth," said Poe.

He also commended the efforts of the Kabataan sa Kartilya ng Katipunan in Laguna and the San Isidro Youth Group in Camarines Sur, both of which have been instrumental in extending support to affected families.

Additionally, Poe praised the efforts of FPJ Panday Bayanihan's second nominee, Mark Patron, who supervised and aided youth volunteers in distributing relief goods across several towns in Batangas.
