A fire broke out early Saturday in Barangay 177, Malibay, Pasay City, resulting in the deaths of four people and leaving two others injured.
Reports indicate that approximately ten houses were burned in the fire.
In a report by RH Edwin Duque, it was mentioned that the victims were aged 40, 34, 14, and a 7-year-old child.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the victims were trapped inside their home when the fire was raised to the first alarm at approximately 4:00 AM.
The fire was immediately raised to a third alarm, and by 6:55 AM, it was declared under control. It was officially declared out at 7:23 AM.
It was noted that the firefighters had difficulty responding because of the narrow roads in the area.
The fire started in a row of houses along Esteban Street near the creek, quickly spreading as the homes were built with light materials.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the fire and to assess the total amount of damage.
