A portion of the Bagbag Public Cemetery compound in Novaliches, Quezon City was set ablaze on Friday morning, during the observance of All Saints’ Day.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) confirmed that the fire began at 9:02 AM and was raised to the second alarm at 9:17 AM.
Antonette Pacleb, the house owner, detailed the events that led to the incident. According to Pacleb, kids were inside the house when the fire broke out. She added how the mattress was set on fire, after the clip fan inside their room overheated.
Fortunately, the children and other residents got out before the fire spread throughout the area.
