

Former Manila vice mayor Danilo 'Danny' Bautista Lacuna passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday morning, August 13.
The tragic news was announced by her mourning daughter, Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna on her official Facebook page.
"It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the death of Hon. Danilo Bautista Lacuna, Former Vice Mayor of Manila," Honey said.
The cause of the former Manila Vice Mayor's death was not disclosed.
Honey described his father as a "man of great service and compassion."
"Danny touched many, creating life which spans further than just his hears and into the hearts of us all there he will remain forever," she added.
The Manila Mayor then invited the public to join their family in celebrating the life of her father.
Danny served as the Manila's Vice Mayor from 1998 to 2007.
He ran for the mayorality post in 2007 but was lost.
In 2010, Danny then attempted to ran as Manila's 6th District Rep. but also got defeated.
Prior to becoming the Vice Mayor, he was a City Councilor for 8 years — from 1967 to 1975.
