The EDSA Bus Carousel will remain open and operational during Holy Week, April 6 until April 10, the Department of Transportation confirmed on Monday.
In an advisory, the EDSA busway will be open to serve passengers traveling from Monumento, Caloocan to Mall of Asia and back.
"The EDSA Busway Stations will remain operational 24/7 during the observance of the Holy Week 2023. Pickup and drop-off points of the EDSA Busway near MRT-3 stations will also be accessible to all passengers," it read.
To recall, the EDSA Busway was placed as an alternative transportation for those riding the Metro Rail Transit or MRT line 3.
However, the management of MRT 3 first announced that they will stop operation from April 6, Holy Thursday to April 9, Easter Sunday.
MRT-3 stations near the pick-up and drop-off points of the EDSA Bus Carousel will remain accessible during Holy Week for passengers to pass through.
North Avenue Station, Quezon Avenue Station, Santolan Station, Ortigas Station, Guadalupe Station, and Buendia Station will be open to access the busway.
