Authorities are in the process of determining the identity of the driver who died in a vehicle fire in Western Bicutan, Taguig City, early Tuesday morning.
In an exclusive interview with DZRH, PLt. Nadame Malang, spokesperson for the Philippine National Police - Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), mentioned that they have not yet been able to ascertain the victim's gender.
Moreover, in a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, it was mentioned that the victim’s body was severely burned, as the person was unable to escape the vehicle after it crashed into the center island and caught fire.
Authorities said that they were unable to find any documents or indications inside the vehicle that would help identify the victim.
The vehicle was reportedly coming from the Skyway when the incident took place in the northbound direction of SLEX.
Meanwhile, no other passengers were aboard the vehicle, and no other persons were affected in the vicinity when the incident took place.
The HPG also recovered the vehicle's license plate and is now coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for further investigation.
