Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano proudly announced the programs that Taguig has to offer to ten barangays from Makati who relocated to their city.

In an interview with DZRH’s Dos Por Dos, Cayetano highlighted some of the programs they have in Taguig in response to the previous interview of Makati City Mayor Abby Binay worrying about the welfare of the ten barangays that will not be part of Makati anymore.

When asked if Taguig has the same programs as Makati’s yellow card, Cayetano said that in their city, residents do not need a yellow card to receive benefits.

"In the city of Taguig, hindi mo kailangan ng card, basta ikaw ay residente ng Taguig, tanggap mo ang mga benepisyo sa ating mga hospital, sa ating mga health centers, tanggap mo ang gamot," she emphasized.

Cayetano reiterated that many of the ten barangay residents have already expressed their support for their relocation.

In Binay’s previous video uploaded on Monday, she mentioned her worry about children’s education, but Cayetano confidently assured that they can also offer programs for the students.

The mayor reiterated that many of the Embo residents have already expressed their support regarding their relocation.

Cayetano also noted the 88,000 professionals and college graduates Taguig has produced.

"Makakaasa sila na ang same alaga, same malasakit, same program ay makakarating po sa kanila" the mayor said.

On June 26, the Supreme Court denied the Makati government's request for a second appeal involving the disputed territory of Taguig City's Fort Bonifacio, comprising the so-called Inner Fort composed of Barangays Pembo, Comembo, Cembo, South Cembo, West Rembo, East Rembo, and Pitogo.

The sites are, according to the court, "part of the territory of the City of Taguig."

The third division of the High Court definitively rejected Makati's plea for reconsideration on September 22 of last year.
