A warning was raised by the Department of Health (DOH) to the public on Tuesday against the alleged circulating DOH Bulletin Message regarding an Upper Respiratory Infection in China, maliciously using the agency's name.
In an advisory, the agency clarified that the message did not come from any verified platforms.
Furthermore, the DOH reminded people that diseases can be prevented by practicing healthy habits and that respiratory diseases in general, as well as other communicable diseases, can be stopped through layers of protection, such as proper sanitation, wearing of facemask, social distancing, good ventilation, and vaccination.
Meanwhile, the DOH committed to continuously enjoining the public to source information only from verified sources and platforms accessible to the agency's official links and social media handles.
