The Department of Health or DOH has issued an advisory urging the public to be wary of Facebook pages “maliciously” posing as the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

On Thursday, the DOH declared these pages to be fake, sustaining no ties to, and not accredited by the department or PGH themselves. Any statement or comment these pages have issued, any transaction they have made are “fraudulent.”

Should more similar posts appear, the health department warns it may press criminal charges.

“The DOH continues to enjoin the public to source information only from legitimate sources and platforms, such as the Health Department,” the statement reads.
