After three days of activities for the celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene, over 600 medical consultations were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) to their health operating units.
According to the report, a total of 577 were tallied as cardio-related cases such as hypertension, hypotension, chest pain, and high blood pressure.
Moreover, a total of 43 cases were caused by trauma-related wounds and lacerations while 10 suffered neurological-related cases such as headaches and dizziness.
There were also eight cases of respiratory-related like difficulty in breathing and asthma, while four were gastro-related, abdominal pains, and loose bowel movement.
This mentioned report was logged from January 6 to 9.
Meanwhile, the DOH said that the cases were reported, managed, and addressed from the days of preparation for the celebration.
Out of the tally, four were reported to be hospitalized, three were already discharged, and one is still under observation.
For safety, the Metro Manila Health Development collaborates with DOH to ensure the safety of the Black Nazarene devotees.
