The Philippines has recorded 171 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
Based on DOH’s record, this marks the sixth straight day of fewer than 200 new cases.
The new COVID-19 cases brings the total nationwide caseload to 4,173,313 cases.
The death toll remained at 66,612, while total recoveries rose by 234 cases to 4,102,728.
The region with the most recent COVID-19 cases is in the last 14 days is NCR, followed by Central Luzon (334), Calabarzon (321), Western Visayas (193), and Ilocos Region (185).
During the course of the last 14 days, Quezon City led all cities and provinces in COVID-19 cases with 108 cases, followed by Laguna with 102 cases, Davao with 95 cases, Cagayan with 92 cases, and Cavite with 88 cases.
In over 1,890 COVID-19 facilities, there are 3,433 occupied beds and 20,284 unoccupied ones, for a 14.5% COVID-19 bed occupancy rate.
