

The De La Salle University (DLSU) Tañada-Diokno School of Law is mourning the death of one of its students who was found lifeless on Saturday, June 21, in the municipality of Naic, Cavite.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the law school expressed its deep sorrow and extended its condolences to the family of the 25-year-old student.
"De La Salle University Tañada-Diokno School of Law deeply mourns the loss of one of its students and sympathizes with the family and friends of the deceased," the statement read.
"School administrators have been in contact with the family since the student was first reported missing, and guidance counselors are in constant communication with the classmates," it added.
The school of law called on the community to unite as a family and continue to pray during this time of profound grief.
On Saturday, the Naic police reportedly received information about a body in an "advanced state of decomposition" found in a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa, Naic. The body was later positively identified by the student's father.
The student was initially reported missing on June 8, 2025. Based on a CCTV footage, he was seen at around 9:20 p.m. on June 17 walking along Saluysuy Bridge in Barangay Sapa.
Authorities have ruled out foul play in his death.
Further details about the circumstances surrounding the student's death have not yet been disclosed.
In a Facebook post, the family asked the public to respect their privacy as they grieve during this difficult time.
