The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) flaunted the efforts of the private sector to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Based on the annual inspection conducted by the agency, DOLE Usec. Benjo Santos Benavidez reported on Wednesday, May 31, that most companies observe Department Order No. 53-03, which sets guidelines for the implementation of drug-free workplace policies and programs.
"Sa mga nakaraang taon, based sa aming results ng aming inspection, medyo mataas ang compliance rate ng ating mga kumpanya," Benavidez said during DILG sa DZRH Breaktime.
Under DO No. 53-03, companies must adopt workplace policies and programs on drug abuse prevention and control that include advocacy, education, and training; drug testing program for officers and employees; treatment, rehabilitation, and referral; as well as monitoring and evaluation.
"Ngayon taon, tuloy-tuloy namin gagawin at isasagawa ang inspection sa mga pagawaan at kumpanya upang maiwasan natin o kaya i-control ang paggamit ng droga sa mga pagawaan," Benavidez assured.
