The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) touts that local government units generate more revenue due to the Electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS).
ARTA Deputy Director General for Operations Gerald Divinagracia identified Quezon, Parañaque, and Muntinlupa cities as the top three LGUs that benefited from eBOSS.
"Sa Quezon City, from Php 11 billion, it became Php 12 billion. We have a difference of Php 984 million," Divinagracia said on Wednesday, August 2, during DILG sa DZRH Breaktime.
"Sa Parañaque naman, we have an increase of Php 313 million. For Muntinlupa, Php 162 million," he added.
Divinagrace explained that eBOSS, created by the Ease of Doing Business Act or Republic Act 11032, streamlines business permitting, and licensing processes across the Philippines.
"eBOSS is a web-based, online application that allows businesses to apply and renew business permits, and licenses online," the ARTA official said.
So far, 28 LGUs have a fully-operational eBOSS, while 510 have a partially operational online platform.
