The Manila Broadcasting Company-DZRH has released the result of its pre-election survey wave 1 for senatorial midterm elections.
The independent survey is based on data collected from a nationwide survey conducted from December 7 to 9. The survey, which involved face-to-face interviews across all 18 regions covering 300 barangays nationwide over three days, had a total of 7,510 respondents with a margin of error of ±1.13%.
Leading the list is ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo from the Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas–CMD) with 64.7%, followed by former Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III of the Nationalist People's Coalition with 54.9%, and broadcaster Bienvenido "Ben" Tulfo with 50.3%.
In fourth place is former Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson with 50.1%, followed by Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, who garnered 46.5%. Ranked sixth is incumbent Senator Manuel "Lito" Lapid with 46.2%.
Other notable candidates include former Senator Pia Cayetano with 44.7%, current Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla with 42.4%, Camille Villar with 40.7%, and Wilfredo "Willie" Revillame with 39.4%.
Also included are Makati Mayor Abigail Binay with 38.0% and Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa with 37.4%, followed by Senator Imee Marcos with 34.6%.
Rounding out the top survey is Senator Christopher "Bong" Go from PDP-Laban with 34.5%, followed by former DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. with 31.8%.
Senatorial elections in the Philippines are held every three years, coinciding with the midterm and presidential election cycles.
The next senatorial election is scheduled for May 12, 2025, as part of the general elections. During this election, voters will select 12 senators to serve a six-year term, replacing half of the 24-member Senate.
