Watch out World, or the Universe rather, because a new queen has been crowned, and she's making history as Denmark's very first Miss Universe winner!

Denmark's Victoria Kjær Theilvig surely made her home country proud at the 73rd Miss Universe coronation night on Sunday, November 17 (Philippine time), at the CDMX in Mexico City.

The 21-year-old queen was crowned by outgoing Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios, with Jewelmer's "The Light of Infinity" crown, made from the Philippines' South Sea Pearls.

Theilvig first showed confidence and resilience during the Top 5 question and answer portion. Her graceful answer of never changing how she lives her life and learning from her mistakes, cemented her spot at the top.

Out of the 124 pageant hopefuls from around the globe, Theilvig was among the very few who advanced in the competition's final stage, leaving just five contestants. At the final question and answer, the judges asked what her message was to the audience.

"My message to all the world that are watching out there is no matter where you come from, no matter your past, you can always choose to turn it into your strengths. It will never define who you are. You just gotta keep fighting," Miss Denmark answered.

"I stand here today because I want to change, I want to make history. And that's what I'm doing tonight. So, never give up always, believe in yourself, in your dreams. And that is exactly what you're going to do," she ended.

Meanwhile, the Philippines' Chelsea Manalo bowed out of the competition after missing the cut for the competition's Top 12 spots.

Theilvig began her pageant journey in 2021, when she finished as the second runner-up for Miss Denmark. The following year, she represented her country for Miss Grand International, and finished at Top 20.

Congratulations to the new Queen!
