Philippine representative and Filipina beauty queen Chelsea Manalo concluded her Miss Universe journey as a Top 30 finalist, falling short of advancing to the Top 12 during the coronation night held in Mexico on Sunday (Philippine time).
Following the coronation, Manalo was officially named Miss Universe Asia. She will be embarking on a tour across Asia and joining the Miss Universe organization on various trips.
Victoria Theilvig of Denmark made history by winning her country’s first-ever Miss Universe crown this year, triumphing over 124 other candidates.
In the final placement, Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria placed as first runner-up, with Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico securing the second runner-up position.
Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri and Venezuela’s Ileana Pedroza followed closely as third and fourth runners-up.
PH's Manalo missed the evening gown competition after failing to secure a place in the Top 12.
Manalo was set to showcase her evening gown designed by renowned Filipino designer Manny Halasan.

Manalo’s placement secures a two-year streak for the Philippines in reaching the first cut of Miss Universe, following Michelle Dee’s Top 10 finish last year.
During the preliminary round, the Pinay representative wowed the crowd with her "Hiraya" national costume, which honored the country’s deep-rooted religious traditions.
