After Claudia Barretto and Basti Lorenzo’s intimate wedding earlier this week, the former’s stepsister Dani Barretto reminded her to savor every second, and not let anything or anyone dim the light of that moment.
The heartfelt letter was posted on Dani’s Instagram account on Wednesday, April 9, underscoring the almost 10 years of the couple’s love, patience, and commitment.
“Savor every second, hold each other a little tighter, and let your hearts be full. This day is yours, soak in all the joy, the laughter, the love. You deserve every bit of it,” she wrote in the caption.
“Don’t let anything or anyone dim the light of this moment. It’s your story, your love, and your forever beginning,” she added.
Dani wished them both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love that only grows deeper with time.
“I love you more than words can ever express,” she ended her post.

Claudia and Basti’s wedding was held under the radar, earlier this week. However, news about the occasion blew up on social media after the former’s father, Dennis Padilla, expressed his disappointment. According to Padilla, he felt disrespected on the said day, because he felt like a visitor, instead of being part of the bride’s entourage.
The actor’s brother, Gene Padilla, also aired his frustration in a Facebook post on Wednesday, stating that Padilla is not the father of the bride, but the guest of the bride. He recalled not being informed by the event organizer about their exclusion from the entourage.
“Yan ba itinanim ng mga nakapaligid sa inyo.... puro kayo karangyaan at kasikatan... sa inyo na lahat yan... sanay kami sa hirap at di talaga kami nababagay sa inyo... pero pinag kaiba namin sa inyo ay yung puso namin at dignidad di niyo kaya pantayan,” Gene wrote.
“Kahit magtanong kayo sa ibang magulang tama ba o mali ang ginawa niyo sa tatay niyo???” he continued.
Days before the wedding, Dennis shared a photo in a now-deleted Instagram post, of him and his children, Leon, Julia, and Claudia.
