Department of Health (DOH) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center on July 10.
DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa and Undersecreary Glenn Baggao, together with the First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the ceremony at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
The ceremony symbolizes the beginning of the construction of the Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center, a priority health project of the Marcos administration in line with the Regional Specialty Centers Law that aims to make quality health services accessible for Filipinos.
Sec. Herbosa said that the specialty hospital will be serving patients in the Central and Northern Luzon. He also mentioned that a similar facility for Quezon City is already being planned.
The hospital will be able to cater patients with heart, lungs, kidney, and even cancer conditions.
14 Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics had been turnovered to Region 1, Region 2, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) following the groundbreaking ceremony.
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda attended the ceremony alongside other personalities from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan and PAGCOR Vice President Ma. Vina Claudette Peralta Oca.
