The House of Representatives vowed to stand in solidarity with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., reaffirming their commitment to upholding democratic institutions and protecting the sovereignty of the Philippines.

A two-page manifesto, signed by Speaker Martin Romualdez and other members of the House, affirmed their unity, loyalty, and commitment to defending the nation.

"The Philippine Constitution entrusts us with the solemn duty to protect the nation from threats—both internal and external—that seek to undermine our independence, security, and democracy. Recognizing the significant challenges facing the President and his administration, we unite in declaring our firm support for the President and his vision for a Bagong Pilipinas," the manifesto read.

The manifesto emphasized the importance of defending President Marcos as a "symbol of the nation's sovereignty," stating that any threat against him is considered to be a threat against the Republic.

Additionally, the House condemned actions aimed at destabilizing the administration or undermining the nation’s progress.

"We will support initiatives that strengthen national defense, public order, and social stability," it read.

"We recognize that unity among branches of government is critical to achieving national goals. Guided by constitutional principles, we will work in partnership with the President to pass laws that address the most pressing concerns of our people," it further read.

Finally, the House vowed to uphold the integrity of the President’s mandate, ensuring his ability to steer the nation toward sustainable development, effective governance, and meaningful reform.

"We, the Members of the House of Representatives, solemnly affirm that our collective strength lies in the unity of purpose, fidelity to our democratic principles, and unwavering commitment to serve the Filipino people," it indicated.

The manifesto came after a fellowship gathering at the Palace on December 4, where over 200 House members were said to have met with the President.
