AKO Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co is currently out of the country to undergo medical treatment, the House of Representatives Spokesperson Princess Abante confirmed.

During a press conference on Thursday, September 4, Abante said she made an initial inquiry to the Office of the Secretary General (OSG) about Co’s departure from the country. From there, the House spokesperson confirmed that Co flew to the United States (U.S.) to undergo medical treatment, highlighting that the latter had appropriate travel documents.

“Kung ano ‘yung mga travel documents na ‘yon, wala pa akong copy. I still have [to] coordinate further with the OSG,” she said.

When asked about the date of Co’s departure and arrival, Abante said that she has yet to get more information on the matter.

“Wala pa ako nung mga details tungkol dyan. I have to coordinate with them further to be able to get more information, and once I have that, of course, I will share it with all of you, “ she stated.

Earlier, there was a motion to invite Co to the House Infra Comm hearing to question the lawmaker on the 2025 Bicam Committee report.

Reports indicated that Co had two absences with notice, three absences without notice, and was excused seven times during the House sessions.
