The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon is set to face the House Committee on Appropriations on Friday, September 5, for the agency’s budget deliberations.
In an ambush interview with reporters, Dizon clarified that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ordered him to review the DPWH’s 2026 proposed budget, stating it needs revision.
Now on his fourth day as DPWH chief, Dizon vowed a thorough review of the department’s 2026 budget following revelations of alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
