The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. led the awarding and welcome ceremony for the 28 Philippine Navy personnel’s homecoming at Puerto Prinsesa on Tuesday.

The AFP led the welcome ceremony following the troops’ return on Monday. Returning soldiers were personally welcomed and awarded by Brawner at the Naval Detachment Oyster Bay Pier.

The personnel completed their Rotation and Resupply (RORE) mission in Ayungin Shoal over the weekend; Brawner expressed his gratitude to the members for their dedication and commitment to safeguarding the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

"The AFP extends its heartfelt gratitude to these valiant men and women for their unwavering service and sacrifices. Their dedication ensures the integrity of our territory, sovereignty, and sovereign rights, reflecting the true spirit of patriotism," Brawner remarked.
