Boracay is still included in the Top 10 of the "Favorite Islands in the World 2023" list, the survey conducted by Travel + Leisure Magazine showed.
The island ranked number 10, alongside the likes of Australia's Great Barrier Reef Islands and Maldives, Bali, Indonesia, Madeira, Portugal, Phuket, Thailand, Skye and the Hebrides, Scotland, Koh Samui, Thailand, Dominica and Langkawi, and Malaysia.
The list, according to the website, was created using reader feedback.
Boracay garnered a readers score of 92.94%.
“More than 7,000 islands make up the Philippines, and Boracay still manages to stand apart from the rest,” the article read.
“The tiny island — just 4.5 miles long — is known as “the island that never sleeps” for its parties and nightlife,” it added.
In 2022, Boracay ranked first in the same category among Asian Countries.
Currently, Boracay registered over a million tourists already for 2023, reaching the mark faster than 2022.
