The San Miguel Beermen bagged their 29th PBA Championship on Wednesday, February 14.

The Beermen raised the trophy of the 2023-2024 PBA Commissioners Cup after beating Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, 104-102, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Best Player of the Conference and Finals Most Valuable Player CJ Perez finished with 28 points while Junemar Fajardo and Bennie Boatwright Jr. both tallied 19 points for San Miguel to survive game six of the best-of-seven series.

After playing catch-up throughout most of the game, Chris Ross and Perez buried back-to-back three-point baskets for San Miguel to take the lead, 103-99, with less than two minutes left in the clock

Aris Dionisio made a three-pointer to keep Magnolia at striking distance but the men in blue failed to force a turnover before a free throw by Jericho Cruz, who finished with 12 points for the Beermen, served as the final dagger that decided the result of the match.

Paul Lee scored 25 points and Tyler Bey added 18 points for the Hotshots that went up by 13 points at most early in the game.
