Bataan Provincial Election Officer Atty. Ian Silva urged their residents to report or file a complaint against candidates who engage in vote buying.
RH 37 Danny Cumilang reported on Monday, May 12, that Silva encouraged the residents and voters of Bataan to report incidents of vote buying to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Provincial Office.
According to the report, Silva urged voters to file complaints through the “Kontra Bigay” social media page or their email address. Any complaints filed will be sent directly to the Comelec main office.
Meron naman po kaming partners like yung PNP [Philippine National Police], NBI [National Bureau of Investigation], AFP [ Armed Forces of the Philippines].
Meanwhile, Cumilang reported that there had already been cases where residents complained of candidates engaged in vote buying. These include the municipalities of Limay, Pilar, and Mariveles, Bataan.
