The Philippine Army will implement a 'one recruitment, and one training' system.
Army public affairs office chief LtCol. Louie Dema-ala explained on Monday, January 22, that the new system will seek to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruitment process.
"Isa na lang yung mag-recruit at isa na lang ang area kung saan sila i-train," Dema-ala said during DZRH's Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
The system also seeks to resolve issues revolving around 'strikers', aspirants who work under a military officer to ensure that they will earn a spot in the Philippine Army
"Maiiwasan natin itong mga problem na ito, mga issue na ito, yung pag-exploit, pag-take advantage doon sa mga applicant para sa pag-sundalo," Dema-ala stressed.
Under the new system, Philippine Army applicants will register online at the website of the Army Personnel Management Center (APMC), which will contact them for the processing and selection phase.
"Kapag natanggap yung kanilang registration ng Army Personnel Management Center, i-schedule na sila for the examination," Dema-ala shared.
Dema-ala assured that the Philippine Army will provide food and lodging for the applicants during the one-week-long application period.
Dema-ala added that the Philippine Army office seeks to recruit up to 4,029 applicants in 2024.
