The controversial former Jose Rizal University player John Amores received a letter of encouragement from the Office of Vice President Sara Duterte.

“It’s my pleasure receiving this kind of gesture from our Dearly VP Sarah Duterte,” he said by posting the envelope last December 5.

Amores did not disclose the full content of the letter, however, he shared a few words from the Vice President, “Remember the lesson not the mistake, You have a friend from the Office of the Vice President.”

He then thanked her with caption, “Ipapa frame ko to as a remembrance na sa dami ng bashers at negative critics may isang tao na ipapaalala sayo na Mahalaga ka kahit di mo kaano ano. I wont lose hope, somewhere in between in the darkest season of my life there’s still a light.”

To recall, the former National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) player was expelled from the basketball team after being indefinitely banned by the organization.

This is due to his outrage during their game against De La Salle – College of St. Benilde which injured several players last November 8.

Amores is currently facing different complaints from the two players of CSB Blazers, and the University of the Philippines, for a punching incident to one of Fighting Maroons players.
