The camp of All Card Inc. remains open to communication in order to resolve the legal battle that has halted the issuance of plastice driver's license cards anew.
Atty. Karen Jimeno, lawyer of AllCard Inc., said that her client recognizes the effects of the legal battle to the Philippine populace.
"Para sa AllCard, bukas sila sa compromise at pag-usapan ito," Jimeno said on Tuesday, November 14, during DZRH's Dos Por Dos.
"Siyempre, iniisip din namin yung mga Pilipino. Ayaw natin na ganito naka-tengga yung pag-imprinta," she added.
The Quezon City Regional Trial Court granted a writ of preliminary injunction in favor of AllCard, which effectively stopped the delivery of plastic cards to the offices of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
AllCards Inc. questions the bidding process and why the company lost the bidding to a contractor with a higher bid.
The Department of Transportation said that AllCard Inc. lost due to delays in its contracts with other government agencies.
"Inisip din nila na huwag ng lumaban pero isa din yung concern nila na nasisira yung reputation nila dahil ang ginagawang dahilan ay mayroon delay," Jimeno stressed.
"Parang sayang din yung pera ng taong-bayan, na mura sila ng Php 42 million, pero bakit ibibigay sa iba. Iyon lang yung gusto nila dito na meron accountability din for taxpayers' money," she explained
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza Jr. has appealed to AllCard Inc. to no longer pursue the case 'for the sake of the Filipino people'.
