Four individuals were hurt after a fire blazed in a gun factory in Brgy. Fortune, Marikina City, on Thursday, February 29.
According to RH Edniel Parrosa's report, Marikina City Rescue 161 assured that all those who sustained minor injuries and minor burns were immediately assisted by the Marika City Health Office.
The fire broke out inside the armory of the Armscor Firing Center at 4 p.m. and was immediately extinguished at 5 p.m. after reaching the second alarm.
The fire caused panic among residents near the area after they heard two loud explosions before the sky turned orange due to the height of the flames.
The factory's Armscor Firing Range was not affected by the fire.
As of writing this story, the Bureau of Fire Protection is still investigating the cause of the incident.
