

As of Monday, July 29, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) recorded at least 39 reported fatalities due to the onslaught caused by Tropical Depression Butchoy, Super Typhoon Carina, and the southwest monsoon.
Out of the 36, the NDRRMC valiated 14 deaths: five in CALABARZON, four in the Zamboanga Peninsula, two in Central Luzon, as well as one each in Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Authorities still need to verify 15 reported deaths in Metro Manila, 10 in CALABARZON, one each in Ilocos Region, and BARMM.
Meanwhile, NDRRMC reported six cases of injuries: including two validated incidents in Cagayan Valley, and four in the Cordillera Administrative Region that still needs to undergo verification.
The agency still seeks to validate reports that two individuals went missing Ilocos Region, and another missing persons incident in Northern Mindanao.
NDRRMC said that the series of weather disturbances left more than Php 355 million worth of damages in agricultures, and Php 1.6 billion in infrastructure.
