

At least three in Camarines Sur have drowned and one dead in a landslide in Camarines Norte due to shearline rains.
In the town of Ragay, a 39-year-old drowned on Saturday in an attempt to retrieve his jacket, which had been washed away as he was crossing the PNR Binahan Bridge. His body was recovered on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, in Cabusao, two senior citizens riding an electric vehicle at the overflowing Biong Spillway were dragged away by rushing waters. The local Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management officer Jose Reyes reported their bodies were discovered by the Water Search and Rescue team within four hours of each other on Monday morning, about 50 meters from the spillway.
Two other individuals were swept away by strong currents but were able to save themselves and are now recovering in a hospital.
A landslide claimed the life of a 52-year-old on Sunday evening. His wife, who sustained injuries on the head and chest, is under the care of the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), shearlines are where hot and cold air meet. Although the weather has cleared up in Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur, several areas remain inundated.
