One person died while three others were injured as a concrete wall collapsed at the Civic Building B Compound at Quezon City Hall on Thursday night.

According to the report, the wall suddenly collapsed for an unknown reason, causing physical injuries to the victims:

• Russell Erceo, 22 years old

• Erwin Ramos, 32 years old

• Joshua Garcia, 23 years old

• Christian Mamposte, 20 years old

Erceo, the one who was trapped and unfortunately died, was retrieved by the Quezon City Disaster Risk Management Office Search and Rescue team headed by Jefferson Godino.

While the three injured were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center for proper medical treatment.

In an exclusive interview with DZRH News correspondent Val Gonzales, the building is not under construction but will be built with a scenic view elevator.

With the fatal incident, the local government of Quezon City is investigating with the Engineering Department regarding the collapsed wall that happened at around 10:09 p.m.

It will investigate the system implemented by the contractor at the construction site and whether the aspect of occupational safety has been given importance.
