After experiencing infection and keloid scars from her piercings, teenage actress Xyriel Manabat has no plans to have piercings on her chest.
On a May 3 episode of the morning show "Magandang Buhay," hosted by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Jolina Magdangal-Escueta, and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Manabat explained the meaning behind her singular tattoo.
The tattoo showed a minimalist front-view drawing of a bicycle, which the latter explained that she had gotten during the lowest point of her life.
She also pointed out the previous piercings she had across her body—the dermal piercing below her neck and chest, which have turned into a keloid scar due to infection.
Manabat also showed her three piercings on her left ear and two on her right, which quickly closed after three days when she took out the earrings to clean them.
When asked if she still has plans to pierce her chest again, the "Dirty Linen" star replied, "Wala na akong balak."
Meanwhile, Xyriel Manabat also confessed that she underwent therapy to deal with the negative effects of people’s inappropriate comments about her on social media.
