A woman was reportedly stabbed by her close friend who discovered the latter's relationship with her live-in partner in Novaliches, Quezon City.
The victim identified as Jennifer Vergara, 23 years old, unfortunately passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital.
The police promptly apprehended the suspect identified as Shella Ylano, who is engaged in online selling.
According to the intial investigation, Vergara was about to ride a pedicab when Ylano suddenly attacked her from behind.
Ylano has put forth a defense, alleging that her live-in partner and her friend had concealed their romantic involvement from her.
The suspect further claims to have encountered them together on multiple occasions before the incident occurred.
Ylano also stated that she previously observed the victim and her partner exiting a hotel.
The suspect is currently facing charges of murder.
