TV host Willie Revillame on Sunday declared that he is now ready to run for Senator in the next year's midterm elections.
He made the statement during the Prayer Rally against Charter change led by the Dutertes and their allies in Davao City’s Rizal Park on Sunday, January 28.
Revillame recalled the time in 2021 when former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his ally, Senator Christopher 'Bong' Go offered him to be part of their senatorial lineup under the wing of PDP-Laban. However, Revillame had to turn down the offer due to contractural obligations with his popular noontime show "Tutok to Win sa Wowowin."
The TV host said he went on sleepless nights praying for his decision.
Revillame declared that he’s ready to do good for his countrymen and thanked Durterte for the trust.
Again, mahal na Pangulo, maraming salamat sa tiwala,” he said.
