Classes in some areas in Luzon have been canceled due to the effects of Typhoon Betty on Monday, May 29.&nbsp;
In its latest weather bulletin, PAGASA said Betty was last seen &nbsp;525 km East of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 190 km/h, and central pressure of 950 hPa. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h.
<a href="https://dzrh.com.ph/post/3-areas-under-signal-no.-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Three areas are currently under Signal No. 2</a> as Typhoon Betty moves toward the East of Aparri in Cagayan province.

<li>Pandan, Patnongon, Caluya, Libertad and San Jose de Buenavista in Antique:&nbsp;all levels, public and private</li>
<li>Abra: preschool to Sr. high school, public and private</li>

<li>Dinalungan, Aurora:&nbsp;all levels, public and private</li>
<li>Cagayan: all levels, public and private</li>
<li>Ilocos Sur: all levels, public and private; no work as well in government offices</li>
<li>Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte: preschool to Sr. high school, public and private</li>
<li>Luna, La Union: all levels, public and private</li>
<li>Polillo, Quezon:&nbsp;preschool to sr. high school, public and private</li>
<li>Alfonso Lista, Ifugao: preschool to Sr. high school, public and private</li>
</ul>
The state weather bureau said&nbsp;Typhoon Betty is forecasted to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday evening or Saturday morning.
