Lawyer Harry Roque believes that Vice President Sara Duterte is not the cause of the 'rift' between the Marcoses and Dutertes.
The claim was made after former President Rodrigo Duterte, on Sunday evening, Jan. 28, accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of being a "drug addict," citing PDEA's alleged watch list.
Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte also urged Marcos to resign from his post during his speech at the Maisug Leaders Forum in Davao City.
Interviewed in DZRH's Dos Por Dos on Monday, Roque said that the heat between the two was probably due to the statement made by Justice Secretary Boying Remulla that the government had already contacted the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Duterte leadership's bloody war on drugs campaign.
According to Roque, the events that happened only showed that the "Uniteam" has officially ended.
In the talks of the former president's statement, Roque said he also saw PDEA's watchlist containing Marco's name, which he questioned why the agency denied it.
May mga kumakalat naman talagang report," he said.
Roque believes that if the accusation were true, the country would be put in danger.
Responding to the "drug addict" accusations, Marcos just laughed, saying the former president's behavior was due to his taking fentanyl drug for "a very long time."
"PRRD has been taking the drug for a very long time now. When was the last time he told us he was taking fentanyl, mga 5 or 6 years ago? After 5 or 6 years, it has affected him kaya palagay ko nagkakaganyan. I hope his doctors better take care of him," the Chief Executive said.
