Just in time for its 55th-anniversary celebration, the Filipino foam and mattress brand Uratex has made history in the Guinness World Record for the longest human mattress dominoes!
The local brand held the event on Sunday, October 22 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Using a total of 2,355 mattresses, the Philippines earned the Guinness World Record for the longest human mattress dominoes in 14 minutes and 25 seconds, beating Brazil’s 2019 record of 2,019 achieved in 11:13.
“The record to beat for this attempt was 2,019. I can now confirm that team Uratex has achieved 2,355. Congratulations! You beat the World Records title,” Guinness World Records Senior Records Manager/Official Adjudicator Mai McMillan said.
Naty Cheng, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Uratex Philippines received the certificate.
All of the 2,355 mattresses used in the event were donated to 55 charitable institutions, including shelters or homes for the elderly, women, children, and adults with special needs, and community hospitals, according to Uratex.
Actress Kathryn Bernardo also joined the historical cause as the brand's newest ambassador.
