Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 remains hoisted in Batanes and Babuyan Island as Typhoon Hanna continues to show intensity while slowly progressing near southern Taiwan, the state weather bureau said in its latest monitoring on Sunday.

It is moving in a westward direction at the speed of 10 kph.

According to the state weather bureau’s forecast, Hanna will travel generally west northwestward until it makes landfall at or near peak intensity along the east coast of southern Taiwan on Sunday afternoon or evening.
