The tropical depression Kabayan which recently intensified into a tropical storm would hopefully be the last typhoon before the year ends, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“Sa ngayon po in the next three to five days, wala pa naman po tayong nakikita [na bagyo]. Hopefully po si Kabayan na po yung huling bagyo na pumasok po sa ating area of responsibility,” PAGASA weather specialist Anna Clauren said in an interview with DZRH.
Clauren added that rains would hit around Northern Luzon areas due to Amihan.
When asked if the Visayas and Mindanao regions would celebrate Christmas and New Year in good weather, the weather specialist agreed.
PAGASA earlier reported that Kabayan downgraded into a low-pressure area (LPA).
