

Based on the weather forecast released by PAGASA at 3:00 PM, today, July 23, Tropical Depression #EmongPH has intensified into a Tropical Storm as its center was estimated at 130 km West of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
The southwest monsoon affecting these areas is also joined by Tropical Storm "Dante," located at 845 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
According to the state weather bureau, areas in Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are experiencing a combined Tropical Depression and Southwest Monsoon.
During the live press conference today of PAGASA, Dr. Nathaniel Servado, Administrator of DOST-PAGASA, extended some reminders to the public,
“Pinapayuhan natin ang ating mga kababayan na tutukan ang lahat ng ating mga impormasyon, kung ano man ang mga changes ay kaagad naming ipapaabot sa ating mamayaan at ahensya” he reminded the public.
“Sundin ang lahat ng mga advise o aksyon na pinairal ng ating local executives upang maibsan ang anumang epekto nitong dalawang bagyo.”he added.
Meanwhile, PAGASA is closely monitoring for the possible entry of another Low Pressure Area (LPA) to the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next 24 hours.
