Fire victims from Aroma Vitas Temporary Housing in Tondo, Manila, held a protest outside the Manila City Hall on Monday to demand aid.
The residents, represented by the Liga at Ugnayan para sa Pagkakaisa ng Maralita sa Pilipinas, expressed frustration over the local government's lack of response despite two prior attempts to seek assistance.

The fire, which broke out on September 14, destroyed five tenement buildings and displaced over 1,000 residents.
While Manila Mayor Honey Lacuña has provided food and shelter, the affected families continue to call for additional support.
Damages were estimated at P2.5 million.
