The third "Alice Guo" discovered may possibly free themselves of a sure NBI case should they come forward and agree to become a witness amid the thickening development of the ongoing investigation on their Bamban mayor namesake.
In an exclusive interview with DZRH, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago said he wishes to acquaint himself with this Alice Guo and determine their motivations for filing for an NBI clearance with a false address.
This third Guo claimed their address to be at Kalantiaw Street, Project 8, Quezon City, when investigation has found that Kalantiaw Street is instead in Project 4.
As of now, the motives of this Guo of a different face from the suspended mayor have not been ascertained, but the NBI are of the opinion that someone had ordered Guo to get a second clearance.
"Talagang gusto namin siyang makuha, nang malaman namin kung bakit. Kung anong dahilan niya. At ... pupuwede naman na, kung makikipagtulungan siya sa'min, hindi namin siya kakasuhan--pero magiging witness siya ng siya'y nautusan lamang," Santiago told DZRH anchors.
("We really want to get them, to find out why. What their reason is. And it would be alright, that if they assist us, we won't press charges--but they'll have to be a witness as we order them.")
