The Commission on Appointments' (CA) Committee on Health recommended the confirmation of the ad interim appointment of Dr. Teodoro 'Ted' Herbosa as the country's Health chief.

Camarines Sur Representative Lray Villafuerte Jr., the CA majority floor leader, moved to endorse Herbosa’s confirmation as DOH secretary to the Senate plenary.

No members of the CA panel objected the motion.

In September, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos reappointed Herbosa, just months after he was bypassed by the CA due to "lack of material time."

Herbosa previously served as a special adviser to the country’s task force against COVID-19.
