President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. has reappointed Teodoro ‘Ted’ Herbosa as Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH).
His name was included in the list of new appointees published by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Friday, Sept. 29.
Herbosa’s reappointment came three days after the powerful Commission on Appointments (CPA) technically bypassed his ad interim appointment after the confirmation hearing was suspended.
According to Camarines Sur Rep. and CA Majority Floor Leader LRay Villafuerte, the hearing got suspended due to "lack of material time”.
He said no CA members have expressed opposition against the DOH Secretary's appointment.
Aside from Herbosa, the President also Juliet Manalo-san Gaspar as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
Former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff Andres Centino, meanwhile, was tapped as Presidential Assistant for Maritime Concerns with the Rank of Secretary.
