According to Veronica Torres, PAGASA Representative, TD Obet has been reduced to a Low Pressure Area, due to the northeast monsoon, at 2am and left PAR at 4:30pm in an interview at DZRH Huntahan with Christian Mano and Nicole Lopez.
Based on the bureau’s weather bulletin issued at 5pm last October 22,.It was located 485km West of Basco, Batanes.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometer per hour near the center and gustiness up to 20km/h, moving westwards.
Due to the northeast monsoon,Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region should expect cloudy skies with isolated light rain showers or thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy skies with localized rain showers or thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon.
Because of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, a new Low Pressure Area was spotted east of Mindanao and entered PAR at Sunday 8am.
According to a public weather forecast issued at 4am, it will have a high chance of becoming a Tropical Depression on Tuesday or Wednesday. The LPA will be named ‘Paeng’ if turned TD.
