With Valentine's Day approaching, the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released a new survey on Friday, revealing that 30% of Filipinos have experienced unrequited love.
According to the SWS, one out of every three Filipinos has expressed feelings of love to a friend, but half of them have been disappointed because only half of their feelings have been reciprocated.
Men confess feelings to a friend more frequently than women, with men having 40% experience and women having 25% experience.
Cupid is still at work, as 57 percent of Filipinos consider their love lives to be very happy.
However, no relationship is perfect, and according to the survey, 25% said they "could be happier" with their love life.
The SWS also discovered that 17% of Filipinos have no love life.
The survey was conducted with a sample size of 1,200 adults aged 18 and up across the country. The sampling error margin is approximately 2.8 percent.
