The suspect behind the holdup and killing of a New Zealand national in Makati has been arrested, the Philippine National Police - Southern Police District (PNP-SPD) said on Friday.
In a statement, the PNP-SPD said the SPD Special Operations Unit (DSOU), along with other Taguig police units, arrested John Mar Manalo along Hill Crest Drive in Brgy. Oranbo, Pasig City.

"The arrested accused is presently under the custody of DSOU-SPD pending the issuance of commitment order from the court of origin," the PNP-SPD said.
On February 19, at about 12:25 am, Stacey and his girlfriend were walking along Filmore Street, Brgy. Palanan, in Makati City when the suspect pointed a gun at them and declared a hold-up.
Stacey was shot dead when he tried to grab the suspect's firearm.
Manalo took the New Zealand national's cellular phone and wallet.
