Subway Philippines has apologized to the public for its controversial commercial advertisement which was called out by netizens due to its objectifying undertones.
“This advertisement did not reflect our values of dignity and respect for all," the fast food restaurant said in a statement released on Friday.
The management of Subway expressed regret for producing the content.
"It shouldn’t have been produced and has since been removed. We’re sorry for this error," it said.
On Wednesday, Gabriela Women's party list condemned Subway Philippines for objectifying women in its latest commercial advertisement.
In the now-deleted viral commercial video, Subway depicted social media personality Kimpoy Feliciano as a "lover boy" who is torn in choosing between three women namely "B", "M", and "T".
The three women represented the different sandwich options of Subway.
